The Least Of These

The Least Of These
By: Adrielle Bollin
Inspired by Matthew 25:34-46

I saw your face today again in my mind
Reminded of when I was too cool to be kind
My heart is saddened by moment I threw away
When pride took over and fear led me astray

I want you to know that your eyes pierced my heart
My mind was forever changed to do my part
For though I didn't have much to give that day
My talents were wasted when I walked away

So today I declare with all that I am
That to the best of my ability I will do all that I can
To feed those who hunger and quench their thirst
Whether I am at my best or at my worst

I will take in the stranger and lend them my ear
I will let them be heard, their story I will hear
I'll clothe the naked with the gospel of truth
Release them from shame that strips away youth

I will visit the sick and pour into them life
Touch their hearts and souls with God's light
I will go to the imprisoned and set their hearts free
Show them where they stand in God's family tree

For each time I listen to what God would say
I can do all these things each and every day
For He has given me all that I need
To touch this world with life that sets free

The Struggle Within

The Struggle Within
By:  Adrielle R. Bollin

Like a tree in a hurricane straining in the wind
My heart and mind are racing, fretting as I bend
How much more can I take of this road I'm winding down
Everything I knew left me, seems scattered on the ground
All I taste now are these bitter to and fros
Messing with my mind are the things I used to know
And the blood from my tongue as clench back the curse
I've been trying so hard and it's only getting worse

I need a miracle to break off these chains
I need an answer before I fade away
God you know my frame I can handle so much
There has to be a change, I need only Your touch
You alone can set me on solid ground
You alone can deafen the perilous sounds
So I cry out your name and lay out my fleece
One last push of faith to reclaim your peace

All I have left is to wait for your word
Just one sign of hope, one message delivered
To stir this mirage, these mirrors of deception
Until once again I see You in my reflection
Then you speak and my burdens turn to air
A release of truth drowns my despair
Suddenly the promise rings true in my ears
Life, love, joy, peace and wisdom are again my peers

"Speak"
By:  Adrielle R. Bollin

Soft amber beams of light
Bestow a smile in darkest night
No matter the size the trial be
You always lean your heart toward me

When despair has swallowed life
And sight is lost along with might
All I need is to cry out to you
And you restore all I once knew

For when I sing when all seems lost
And rejoice throughout the burning dross
And when I learn to love your time
And patience is grafted like a vine

You rejoice and run with me
Every trial gains victory
And when I speak your words of truth
You usher me to fuller youth

"Not one concern of ours is small,
If we belong to him;
To teach us this, the Lord of all,
Once made the iron swim."
John Newton
1Kings 6:1-7
1 Now the sons of the prophets said to Elisha, “Behold now, the place before you where we are living is too limited for us. 2 Please let us go to the Jordan, and each of us take from there a beam, and let us make a place there for ourselves where we may live.” So he said, “Go.” 3 Then one said, “Please be willing to go with your servants.” And he answered, “I shall go.” 4 So he went with them; and when they came to the Jordan, they cut down trees. 5 But as one was felling a beam, the axe head fell into the water; and he cried out and said, “Alas, my master! For it was borrowed.” 6 Then the man of God said, “Where did it fall?” And when he showed him the place, he cut off a stick, and threw it in there, and made the iron float. 7 And he said, “Take it up for yourself.” So he put out his hand and took it.

The Greatest Giver

The Greatest Giver
By: Adrielle R. Bollin

The glory of your creation surrounds my being
All that I see is yours for the freeing
Yet all you have given as a gift for my days
To show me your love in extravagant ways

From the mountains on high to the rivers that flow
To the ancient far places to the newest swimming holes
From the jungles and forests to the deserts and plains
The world is your message of provision and grace

Though darkness will fall and cover the earth
You gave us the moon to inspire our mirth
As you wrap us in beauty with a blanket of lights
We 're inspired to reflect your love and shine bright

How greatly you love that you give us all this
Yet still more you provide though betrayed with a kiss
For all of creation could not fill our hungry hearts
So you sent us your son with full passion to impart

And when him we slayed on the cross of your peace
You sent us your ghost to complete the divine three
To instruct, to speak and to help guide our course
So your message of love is spread wide from the source

The Woman At The Well

 The Woman at the Well
By:  Adrie'lle R. Bollin

How is it that you speak to me
When all the rules say that I am unclean
You are holy and purest of love
I am unruly and steady as mud
Yet because of your son you look past what I see
Deep in my heart you find gold finely weaved
So life is your language and joy is your key
Unlocking potential and casting out grief
Slowly you guide my feet to your path
Patiently waiting though I get off track
Walking and talking with me all the while
Relishing each of my laughs and my smiles
John 4:9, 10

The Samaritan woman said to him, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans)10 Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”

"Encountering"
By: Adrielle R. Bollin
AdrielleRoyale Nature in Photography

Like a lake as calm as glass am I,
Still til I hear your voice
Grateful and full of praise am I,
Declaring again my choice
AdrielleRoyale Nature in Photography
The rhythm is forming into song
A slowly building revelation
Then like a touch on the water,
My soul ripples with new jubilation
AdrielleRoyale Nature in Photography
I jump to my feet with a dance
Your holy fire ignites in my bones
Your word pours out of my mouth
And darkness recedes to the unknowns
AdrielleRoyale Nature in Photography
As I celebrate into the night
All evil is gone from my sight
All the troubles I thought I had
Died hard in the perilous fight

The Beginning of a Dream

The Beginning of a Dream
By: Adrielle R. Bollin

You take me to places I've never been
Inspire me to walk with you on the wind
Called me to dream and co-labor with you
Demolished the locusts of yesteryear's coo
My heart is ablaze knowing you have heard me
Rescued my soul from every treachery
Promised me life in abundance with you
Beckoning me to walk in your shoes
Hallelujah, my heart sings to you
For your greatness and beauty is full in my view
And your grace has helped me to clearly see
Your love never fails and with you I'm free

Remind Me Who I Am

"Remind Me Who I Am"
By:  Adrielle R. Bollin

Some days can be so lonely
When everyone is looking at themselves
They say hurting people hurt others
Sometimes people just don't think at all

Then I look around and see the pain
And I'm reeling cause I feel the same

It's like a desert
With pouring rain
I don't know what to do
With the flood I'm in

Til you     Wipe those lies away
Til you     Turn my face your way

Remind me who I am
The daughter of the Lamb

When my joy is stripped and shaken down
And all I see is gray all around
You paint my soul to life
With colors so true and bright

Then when all my tears are dried
And I can stand in your might

It's like a desert
With pouring rain
And I'm awestruck
Seeing life again

And you     Lift my spirits high
And you     Dance with me to the sky

Reminding me who I am
I'm the daughter of the Lamb

What If Love

"What If Love?"
By: Adrielle R. Bollin

What if Love had a voice
What if you were Love's choice
And those eyes they burned for you
With mercy, compassion, justice and truth

What if Love was your defense
Your relief and recompense
What if Love was more than you
Bigger than life, than you ever knew

What if Love was really proud of you
If all your successes made Love smile with you
And all your failures made Love cry with you
What if all Love wanted was to hold and comfort you

What if Love made you stronger
And melted your heart for all sons and daughters
Quenched all your thirst and quelled deepest hunger
Gave you new eyes with which to ponder

What if wisdom was your mother
And loving kindness your brother
What if strength was a constant companion
And peace was your safe place to land in

What if joy was ever dancing in your heart
All because Love has been with you from the start
What if Love laid down His life for you
Even while knowing, Him, you wouldn't choose

What if Love was the best friend you ever had
Or the kind of father you'd be proud to have
What if Love could heal your heart and soul
Make you clean, fill you up and make you whole

What man or woman could fill Love's shoes
Who is limitless and ageless tell me who?
We do not fill Love's shoes, but Love fills ours
We who choose Love have Love's powers

What if Love?

Big Boy Shoes

This song is dedicated to all my girlfriends out there who are still waiting on that ring...

"Big Boy Shoes"
By:  Adrielle R. Bollin

You've been together for how many years
Shared your lives, your joys and tears
She's been there when all others failed
Stood by your side when life derailed

She knows you like the back of her hand
Does thoughtful things even when she's mad
She's loyal like the rising sun
That smile of hers will bless someone

But she won't
Wait forever boy
Before too long,
A real man is gonna come along
And do what you can't do
Come on boy, put on your big boy shoes

She's got dreams of a ring on her left hand
A wedding dress and maybe even a band
She wants to celebrate the love you share
She wants to know that you will always be there

You've got your reasons but I'm telling you
It's time to man up and face the truth
Either you love her or don't
By now you really ought to know

Cause she won't
Wait forever boy
Before too long,
A real man is gonna come along
And do what you won't do
Come on boy, put on your big boy shoes

Oh she's good for you
Your friends all like her too
Your family's taken her in
Tell me boy are you out or in

Cause she won't...

A New Old Psalm

A New Old Psalm
By:  Adrielle R. Bollin

What can I say that has not twice been uttered
Yet still I will praise you if I repeat every word
What can I do that's not already been done
Yet still I will bless you even after the battle's won

For though you have angels surrounding your throne
Praising your name in most heavenly tones
Your heart alights when hearing my voice
Singing my thanks and declaring by choice

When troubles surround me and I cannot see
Your heart is moved so that you rescue me
You shine in your light of love and truth
So that once again I can come dancing with you

The Picture of Blossoming Faith

The Picture of Blossoming Faith
By: Adrielle R.
Surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses....
All trading ashes for beauty...
Reveling in the beauty of Grace...
And basking in the light of the Son...
And in the sweetness of His presence...
Psalm 100:4
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise.  Be thankful to Him and bless His name.   For the Lord is good His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures all generations.  :)

Fearless Love

Fearless Love
By: Adrielle R. Bollin

Energy like gentle sonic waves are your arms wrapped around me
Like swimming with youthful strokes living water sets me free
Your heart in my mind and my spirit uttering your words
My God how you empower me with flight like the birds
Partnered with you all my worries disappear
It's here on your shoulders where my vision becomes clear
Take me even deeper into wisdom and grace
Heal my horizons that I may find my place
Teach me to fly on the wings of your great love
Give me the dreams of my heart I knew not of
Lead me to dance in your rushing rain water
Help me remember I'm your belov'd daughter

"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear" 1 John 4:18a

Grace Understood

Grace Understood
By: Adrielle R. Bollin
I want to believe in destiny's wilds
Give me the will of a stubborn young child
Let me hope in something incredible
Dream like a kid where anything is possible
I want to fly above the clouds like before
To conquer the oceans and run to their roar
To retake the days when I was invincible
And really believe that nothing's impossible
Curse all the lies that I have believed
Damned be depression and all it conceived
Be gone all you doubts, you worries and fears
For I see the Lamb and His love is revealed
Inspired by grace and love beyond compare
I'm stunned for a moment with a wide eyed stare
You've given it all even more than I knew
How deeply you love so that I will trust you
I am loved, I am loved I will boast of your love
Your greatness exceeds and abounds from above
I am filled to the brim and bursting within
'Your grace is sufficient' is much more than a hymn
It's power to live to heal and to bless
It's knowing the one who for you wants the best
It's rebirth and refreshing, a mercifully clean slate
It is freedom to be and to walk through the gate

Crossing the Ocean of Faith

Crossing the Ocean of Faith
By: Adrielle R. Bollin

How do I fly and keep a foot on the ground
How can I sail with my anchor unbound
How can I war while keeping the peace
How do I let go if I refuse to release

I cannot race on if I'm always slowing down
Nor can I swim if my strokes are not sound
And how can I sing if my mouth does not open
Or see the whole world if I fear crossing oceans

...I can't.

Living with purpose is a choice I must make
Making my life count is not something I can fake
Living in fear of shadows is no longer an option
Love has propelled me and light has flushed the toxin

It's time to pick up my feet and haul up the anchor
To decide where I stand, to let loose and conquer
Time to run the race with ever increasing pace
To cross the oceans and spread wide my arms in faith
