The Colors In Me

The Colors In Me
By:  Adrielle R. Bollin

Blue like the ocean
Like water rushing over me
Renewing my breath
Like the sky vast and free

Red like a rose
Like a roaring fire
Like a sunrise at dawn
Like a fervent prayer

Yellow like the sun
Like energy stored
Bright and shining warmth
Like a joyful reward

Purple like lightening
Like strength next to beauty
A mystery to uncover
Like a sovereign duty

Green like a forest
Like an emerald gleam
A ticket to envy
Like prosperity's steam

Grey like a kitten
Like a soft winter mist
A sweet happy medium
Like an opening fist

 "Made To Rise"
By: Adrielle R. Bollin

Made to rise with a kingdom in mind
To find my way and my destiny to find
To sleep and wake with assured purpose
And find the treasure neath the heart's surface
That seed which was planted so long ago
Burns like an ember ever warming my soul
Wanting to know more but not quite ablaze
Fear of my failure loosens my gaze
But rumbling deep a foreshadowing glow
Volcanic like pressure is building up slow
For soon it'll be time to burst into day
To live for much more than just for today

Hello friends and family :)
I just had to say that these were such an immense pleasure to photograph!  This last one literally caused me to gasp out loud when I saw it waiting for me as I stepped out my front door!  The second one is also from this same day. Thank God for my wonderful husband who loves to spoil me with both my Nikon D3000 as well as my fancy cell phone so I can take these kinds of pics!!  I am so blessed and feel so privileged to be able to have the time to pause and capture these moments and am even happier to be able to share them with you!  May you have a glorious weekend and upcoming week!  Thanks again for all your support and comments, whether here or in person, they are so greatly appreciated  :)

Impatience

"Impatience"
By:  Adrielle R. Bollin

There are so many things weighing on my mind
Drawing from me energy, far more than I can find
The choices I have made have brought me to this place
Right or wrong their consequences I are now what I must face

Indeed it was a season I needed to go through
But now that season's over, I want to blaze anew
No time for preparing engines or checking every switch
I want to leave this station I've got the traveler's itch

There's no such thing as failure if you do not leave the ground
So pilot let's get moving before the trumpets sound
I care not which direction, just bring me somewhere new
I'll face Impatience's children another time with you
