The Colors In Me

The Colors In Me
By:  Adrielle R. Bollin

Blue like the ocean
Like water rushing over me
Renewing my breath
Like the sky vast and free

Red like a rose
Like a roaring fire
Like a sunrise at dawn
Like a fervent prayer

Yellow like the sun
Like energy stored
Bright and shining warmth
Like a joyful reward

Purple like lightening
Like strength next to beauty
A mystery to uncover
Like a sovereign duty

Green like a forest
Like an emerald gleam
A ticket to envy
Like prosperity's steam

Grey like a kitten
Like a soft winter mist
A sweet happy medium
Like an opening fist

  3. I noted that you concluded with grey because it is like a kitten and is my choice of colors and absolutely the best color that you could end this poem on. There. That is my analysis.
