"Winter's Gift"
By: Adrielle R. Bollin
Though I don't like the cold, Or the wind of Jack Frost
Nor the perilous drive, On roads that are glossed
I cannot deny, The beauty I see
On windows and lakes, And the branches of trees
That blanket of white, Which covers the north
Adds mystery and light, And odd feelings of warmth
For when else do you know, A time such as this
When you snuggle up close, And hug all those you've missed
You are so gifted and insightful...This is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteNice. Gentle. Appreciated. And the pictures are the perfect compliment. But then, I adore snow. That's easy to say from Houston, TX....but I did spend some years in Canada and New York...and I can still say, "I like snow".
ReplyDeleteThis was a pleasure, Adrielle.
Oh, you know I completely agree with you, there is an elegance and a certain enchanted charm to Winter.;))
ReplyDeleteAre these your images, as they are stunning.;)
Have a great Sunday,
xoxo
You make me paint a mental picture :)
ReplyDeleteThis is so nice.
ReplyDeleteI love the look of snow on the bare tree branches. There is such a feeling of silence and peacefulness. And I like the idea of "huggiing all those you've missed"..so heartwarming.
what a magical winter wonderland! =)
